Dr. Najla Mahdi Mohsen, a lecturer in the Law Department at Al-Alamein Institute for Graduate Studies, participated as a member of the committee discussing the master’s thesis at the College of Law, Al-Qadisiyah University, entitled “The Constitutionality of Criminalizing the Killing of Women to Wash Away Honor - A Comparative Study,” submitted by the student “Marwa Karim Jabr.” The thesis discussed the legal and constitutional relationship between the text of Article (409) of the Iraqi Penal Code No. (111) of 1969, as amended, and the provisions of Articles (14) and (15) of the Constitution of the Republic of Iraq of 2005. After an extensive discussion, the thesis was accepted.
