A researcher in Alamein compares the situation in Iraq with international standards for improving the conditions of inmates in correctional facilities.


On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, the Department of Law at the El Alamein Institute for Graduate Studies discussed the master’s thesis entitled “International Standards Relevant to Improving the Conditions of Inmates in Correctional Centers - A Case Study of Iraq” for the student “Ammar Zahraw Sakhi”. The discussion committee was headed by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdul Razzaq Haddam from Al-Nahrain University, and the discussion committee included Prof. Dr. Saab Naji Abboud, Head of the Department of Law at the El Alamein Institute for Graduate Studies, Assistant Professor Dr. Khaled Ghaleb Matar from the El Alamein Institute, and Assistant Professor Dr. Fadhel Abdul Zahra Fadhel from the El Alamein Institute as a member and supervisor. After an extensive discussion, the thesis was approved.
