The law pertaining to science organizes a scientific workshop on scientific research methodologies.
On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, the Private Law Department at Al-Alamein Institute for Graduate Studies organized a workshop on scientific research methodology.
The workshop was presented by Professor Dr. Firas Karim Shiaan from the College of Law at the University of Babylon.
Professor Alaa Hussein Abdul from the University of Kufa presented on the comprehensive exam, including the format of the questions and how to answer them. He also addressed the issue of plagiarism, which is considered an academic crime punishable by administrative and criminal penalties, in addition to civil liability.
The reasons that lead a researcher to commit plagiarism were also discussed, especially if he neglects to start the scientific research from the beginning of the period specified for writing.
The workshop concluded with a question-and-answer session with the attendees regarding scientific research.
