The Alamein Institute discusses the role of Iraqi media in the post-2014 counterterrorism strategy.
The doctoral thesis entitled "The Role of Iraqi Media in the Post-2014 Counter-Terrorism Strategy - The Communications and Media Commission as a Model" was discussed at the Department of Political Science at the El Alamein Institute for Graduate Studies on Thursday, July 31, 2025, by the student "Asaad Nabil Muhammad Ali". The discussion committee, which was held in the hall of the Bahr Al-Ulum Forum for Dialogue in Baghdad, was headed by Prof. Lubna Khamis Mahdi, Director General of the Research and Development Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The discussion committee included Prof. Zaid Adnan Mohsen, Dean of the El Alamein Institute for Graduate Studies, Prof. Ahmed Abdul Majeed Amin, Head of the Media Department at the El Alamein Institute, Prof. Muhammad Yas Khadir, Head of the Political Science Department at the El Alamein Institute, Assistant Professor Ahmed Khadir Abbas from the El Alamein Institute, and Prof. Ali Hadi Hamidi from the El Alamein Institute as a member and supervisor. After an extensive discussion, the thesis was approved.
