On Monday, September 8, 2025, Prof. Abdul Razzaq Ahmed Mohammed, rapporteur of the Private Law Department at the Alamein Institute for Postgraduate Studies, participated in the discussion of a doctoral thesis in private law at the College of Law, University of Karbala, entitled "The Legislator's Philosophy in Supplementary Legal Rules in Civil Law - A Comparative Study." The researcher discussed the supplementary rules in civil law, explaining their intended purpose and the options granted by the legislator regarding the permissibility of the parties agreeing to violate them or applying custom. The committee included professors of civil law from the College of Law, University of Karbala, and the College of Law, Al-Mustansiriya University. After an extensive discussion, the thesis was accepted.
