Institute Journal or (Al-Mahad Journal) is a quarterly peer-reviewed
scientific journal issued by the Alamein Institute for Graduate Studies. It is
concerned with publishing legal, political, and human science research and
studies related to and intertwined with law and political science.
It is supervised by a distinguished group of specialized
professors from inside and outside Iraq.
The journal is accredited for academic promotions in accordance
with the letter of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research /
Research and Development Department No. B T 4/3774 on 9/7/2020, and is
registered in the House of Books and Documents in Baghdad with deposit number
(2181) for the year 2016, and bears the international standard symbol ISSN
2518-5519, eISSN 3587-3005, DOI prefix 10.61353 DOI.
The Institute's Journal is a refereed quarterly journal
established in 2020 by the Al-Alamein Institute for Graduate Studies in Najaf,
Iraq. The journal is published four times a year: in March, June, September,
and December. It is an open platform for all Arab researchers in the fields of
Islamic thought, law, and political science.
The journal accepts studies that address vital and important
issues for the scientific community as well as the educated community, and
whose scientific and theoretical benefits can be disseminated to include the
largest number of intellectuals. The journal encourages integration in various
fields of knowledge and emphasizes the necessity that published studies be of
scientific value, new in their topics, beneficial to society, and presented
within an objective framework free of bias.
1. The journal
accepts research in legal and political specializations that have not been
previously accepted for publication or published in another journal or
conference proceedings as complete research inside or outside Iraq.
2. The journal
publishes research papers submitted in Arabic or English, printed on standard
paper with a space of (one and a half) between lines, in two copies, in
addition to a copy on a CD, leaving a white space of 2.5 cm on all four sides,
and typed on a computer using the Microsoft Word printing program, using the
Times New Roman font model, size 14 for Arabic and English, 16 for the title of
the research and main headings (abstract, introduction, conclusions,
recommendations, sources, and Abstract with bold font), and size 12 for
footnotes. The names of researchers are written without mentioning academic
titles, the researchers’ affiliations, and the rest of the research are written
in font size 12 without bold font, and the numbers throughout the research are
Arabic (1, 2, 3).
3. Research is
subject to linguistic expertise, evaluation, and scientific (secret) review by
experts in the field of specialization. The researcher is obligated to make all
corrections. If he is not satisfied with the amendments, he can respond to them
with a scientifically written memo to the journal’s editor-in-chief. The
research will not be published if it is rejected by the experts, and the
researcher will be notified of this.
4. The number of
pages of the research submitted for publication shall not exceed (25) pages,
and the percentage of sources used in the research for the last five years must
not be less than 40%, and books shall not be used as sources except in cases of
necessity and at a percentage not exceeding 10% of the total sources.
5. An amount of (50
thousand dinars) is collected for publishing the research, and if the research
exceeds (20) pages, additional amounts are taken from the researcher according
to the additional pages, at a rate of three thousand dinars for each page when printing.
6. The abstract of
the research should be presented in both Arabic and English (Abstract), each on
a separate page. The abstract that differs from the language of the research
should be included at the end of the research.
7. It should be
indicated at the end of the Arabic and English abstract whether the research is
taken from a master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation of one of the
researchers, in both Arabic and English, as a footnote at the end of the page,
as follows:

8. The research
should be accompanied by a brief CV of the researcher, including the
researcher’s name, place of work, scientific specialization, research outputs,
most important scientific contributions, and means of contacting him.
9. The research
arrangement should be as follows: Research title - Researcher’s name and
academic degree - Research abstract (in the language of the research) -
Introduction - Research body - Conclusion and results - List of footnotes -
Sources and references - Research abstract (in the opposite language).
10. The sources (list of sources) are arranged
alphabetically (A, B, C...) for Arabic sources and (A, B, C…) for foreign
sources, provided that the Arabic sources are written first, then the foreign
ones, and they all take consecutive numbers as if they are in one language in
the list of sources.
