On Sunday, February 15, 2026, the Al-Alamein Library at the Al-Alamein Institute for Graduate Studies organized a book reading seminar, in which professors from the Department of Political Science participated, in the presence of Professor Dr. Zaid Adnan Al-Akeeli, Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yass Khudair, Head of the Department of Political Science, Dr. Nahda Al-Khafaji, Secretary of the Library, and a number of students from the Department of Political Science at the doctoral, master’s and higher diploma levels in elections and good governance.
The reading was presented by Dr. Jabbar Jamal Al-Din, a faculty member in the Political Science Department at Al-Alamein Institute. His reading was based on the book "Shared International Waters and International Relations: The Water Crisis in Iraq and Neighboring Countries – A Case Study" by Dr. Ali Hadi Hamidi Al-Shakrawi, Professor of International Relations in the Political Science Department at the Institute. The book addressed the water crisis between Iraq and its neighboring countries from political, legal, environmental, and diplomatic perspectives. Following the reading, a discussion was opened to the attendees, and the researchers were honored.
