Al-Alamein University organizes two scientific workshops to enhance students' research writing skills.

On Saturday, November 1, 2025, the Media Department at Al-Alamein Institute for Graduate Studies organized two specialized scientific workshops for graduate students in the department who are in the writing stage, in the field of scientific research methodologies. The first workshop, entitled “Insights on the Path of the Media Researcher,” was presented by Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdul Majeed Amin, Head of the Media Department at the Institute. During the workshop, he addressed the most prominent problems facing researchers in the field of media studies, with a detailed presentation of research tools and methods, content analysis methodologies, field research, and sound scientific documentation mechanisms. He emphasized the importance of the media researcher having a conscious critical vision and the ability to link the theoretical and applied aspects, with the necessity of adhering to the ethics of academic research, avoiding repetition, and striving to provide new knowledge that contributes to the development of the media sector in Iraq.

The second workshop, entitled “Effective Strategies in Creative Thinking Methods in Scientific Research,” was delivered by Professor Dr. Adel Abdul Razzaq Al-Ghurairi, a lecturer in the Department of Media at Al-Alamein Institute. In it, he addressed the concept of creative thinking and its cognitive and psychological dimensions, and its role in formulating research questions and developing scientific hypotheses in innovative ways. He pointed to a set of modern strategies in scientific thinking that help in building these methods to contribute to producing quality research capable of addressing contemporary media issues in new and effective ways.

This event is part of an integrated scientific program that the Media Department at Al-Alamein Institute is working on implementing, with the aim of enhancing the quality of academic research, developing the research environment within the institute, and preparing a generation of researchers who possess the tools of analysis, criticism, and creativity in the media field.
