On Saturday, October 11, 2025, the Department of Media at the Alamein Institute for Graduate Studies held a scientific workshop entitled "The Concept of Employing Digital Technologies in Scientific Research." The workshop was presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Safad Al-Shammari, a specialist in digital media. The workshop addressed the importance of digital transformation in scientific research and the role of modern technologies in developing research methods, with a focus on image analysis using artificial intelligence and ways to employ smart systems in data collection and analysis processes. The lecturer also reviewed the mechanism for working with generative artificial intelligence programs such as ChatGPT, explaining how to benefit from them in supporting researchers according to precise scientific standards that preserve the authenticity of the research effort and ensure the accuracy of information.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the lecturer emphasized that digital technologies have become a fundamental pillar in developing scientific and academic discourse, calling for enhancing the capabilities of researchers in this field to keep pace with global developments in artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
