On Saturday, November 30, 2024, Al-Alamain Institute for Graduate Studies celebrated the graduation of its fourth cohort of students holding doctoral and master’s degrees in the Departments of Law and Political Science for the academic year 2020–2021. The ceremony was attended by the representative of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Minister of Agriculture, the Governor of Najaf, the Chairman of the Provincial Council, several university presidents, the Ambassador of Turkey to Iraq Mr. Anıl Bora İnan, the Turkish Consul General in Najaf Mr. Jafer Olcay Kırkaş, along with an academic delegation from Turkey.
In his address, Dr. Ibrahim Bahr Al-Uloom, General Supervisor of the Bahr Al-Uloom Charitable Foundation, emphasized the Institute’s commitment to attracting distinguished Iraqi scholars in the fields of law, political science, and media, in order to strengthen the academic, scientific, and research outputs of the Institute.
Professor Dr. Alaa Al-Moula, President of the University of Kufa and representative of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, praised Al-Alamain Institute for Graduate Studies, highlighting its academic rigor and esteemed standing among Iraq’s reputable scientific institutions. The Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Abbas Jabr Al-Maliki, delivered a speech on behalf of the “Al-Alamain Scientific Forum,” which brings together all graduates of the Institute holding master’s and doctoral degrees. Established on April 25, 2024, the Forum was commended for fostering a scholarly environment, supporting faculty members, and providing care and facilities for students and researchers alike.
From his side, Professor Dr. Zaid Adnan Al-Akeeli, Dean of Al-Alamain Institute, reaffirmed the Institute’s dedication to engaging prominent Iraqi scholars and benefiting from their extensive expertise. He also noted the establishment of the “Al-Alamain Scientific Forum,” which unites all graduates of the Institute holding advanced degrees.
Following the recitation of the graduation oath, outstanding doctoral and master’s students in Public Law, Private Law, and Political Science were honored, along with several faculty members, the “Thirst of Iraq” team, and staff members of the Bahr Al-Uloom Charitable Foundation. Professor Dr. Ammar Al-Salami, President of the Islamic University, presented gifts to the top doctoral graduates.
In conclusion, Dr. Ibrahim Bahr Al-Uloom honored Professor Dr. Alaa Al-Moula, President of the University of Kufa and representative of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Ambassador Anıl Bora İnan, and Turkish dignitary Mr. Ahmed Malkan. The graduates then posed for a commemorative photo with the founding board, faculty members, and distinguished guests.
