Discussing the duties of military commanders and the rules governing their criminal liability in El Alamein
On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, the Department of Law at the Al-Alamein Institute for Graduate Studies discussed the doctoral thesis entitled “Duties of Military Commanders and the Rules Governing Their Criminal Responsibility - A Study in Light of the Provisions of International Humanitarian Law” for the student “Amir Abdul Zahra Jassim”. The discussion committee was headed by Prof. Taiba Jawad Hamad from the College of Law, University of Babylon, and the discussion committee included Prof. Saab Naji Abboud, Head of the Law Department at the Al-Alamein Institute, Prof. Muhammad Yas Khadir, Head of the Political Science Department at the Al-Alamein Institute, Prof. Khaled Khadir Daham, Administrative Assistant to the Deanship of the Al-Alamein Institute, Asst. Prof. Khaled Ghaleb Matar from the Al-Alamein Institute, and Prof. Haider Kazim Abdul Ali from the Islamic University of Babylon as a member and supervisor. After an extensive discussion, the thesis was approved.
