Al-Alamein Institute For Postgraduate Studies In Najaf Al-Ashraf

On Monday, October 6, 2025, the Department of Political Science at the Alamein Institute for Graduate Studies organized a scientific workshop for master's and doctoral students in the writing phase. The workshop addressed scientific research methodology and the restrictions and caveats of using artificial intelligence techniques in scientific research. The workshop was presented by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Yass Khadir, Head of the Political Science Department, and lectured by the department's professors: Prof. Dr. Samir Jassam Radhi, Prof. Dr. Jabbar Ali Abdullah Jamal Al-Din, Prof. Dr. Ali Hadi Hamidi, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Khadir Abbas. The workshop concluded that artificial intelligence techniques are now used in all fields and cannot be ignored or dispensed with. While they have positive repercussions, they also have negative repercussions, especially in the field of scientific research, its essence, authenticity, integrity, credibility, and its usefulness in solving societal and state problems, as well as the moral and legal responsibility arising from cases of illegal plagiarism and academic malpractice.
